The Sprechbild Hörstift® Starter Set – Everyday Life After Stroke is designed for families and care providers who want to structure the daily life of people after a stroke and engage in conversation together. With a simple tap on a picture, the audio pen plays matching recordings such as words, sounds or music – creating easy conversation starters, orientation aids and familiar routines.

The set is based on our Sprechbild Hörstift® Starter Set for dementia (medical device). For use in everyday life after stroke, it has been supplemented with 9 additional cards and one level card. These cards feature particularly clear, everyday motifs and make it possible to gradually adapt the scope and level of use – without complex technology.

The audio pen weighs only about 55 g, has a soft-touch surface, a powerful speaker, a headphone jack and just three buttons. It sits comfortably in the hand, even with reduced strength or mobility. An optional wrist strap can provide additional support.

The starter set includes:

• 70 cards with everyday and biographically themed motifs (original dementia set)

• 9 additional cards with motifs for everyday life after stroke

• 1 level card to adjust scope and demands

The set can be used at home, in day care or in group settings – wherever pictures and sounds help to create structure together and revisit familiar content.
